Favorite little silver vine mouse provides endless fun

…and endless self-entertainment. Which is a good thing when you’re trying to get something done!

I didn’t know that there is a second herb that the cats love, other than catnip – and it turns out that they not only do, but that some cats, like little Sargent Bentley here, prefer the silvervine. Go figure. I’m not asking questions: it works.

Sargent Bentley has daily hockey with his favorite little silvervine mouse, which actually has a combination of both catnip and silvervine inside. I def have a stash of them for when one might stray under the refrigerator or….who knows where (still looking).

Do I prefer he didn’t drop it into his water dish? You bet. But a quick squeeze in a paper towel and he’s off and running again. It totally feeds his “hunter” instinct. And I swear, he punts it around – in and out of complicating furniture and little puzzle-making places – to keep it interesting. Love that. Love him. Love the toy, too – especially since it’s hard enough to withstand his little teeth, and fuzzy enough to fit the profile. Perfect.
